Additionally, they contain fructose and maltodextrin as energy sources, and not high-fructose corn syrup. The GU Energy Original Sports Nutrition Energy Gel is thicker than pudding but thinner than fudge, and in comparison to Gu Roctane, it has less caffeine and sodium. They are great for daily workouts, endurance cycling and running, and for Spartan races. However, some customers complain that they freeze in the tube making it hard to squeeze out while running. Lastly, a customer had a problem where the product arrived opened, and only one energy gel was left in the box.
