Lineco pH testing pen is an easy, convenient test pen to distinguish between safe alkaline paper and board, and unsafe acidic paper and board.
Product Details
- Basic Info: Material created and made in USA. Lineco is a leading and trusted brand for archival and high quality art, photography, and framing supplies.
- Quick reflection: Shows within seconds if your paper products are archival. Clear or yellow line means bad - Purple line means archival.
- Storage condition: Paper can be reasonably long-lived if its pH is 6.0 or higher, especially if it is well made and carefully used and stored. In order to last for centuries in today's polluted air, it must have an alkaline reserve and this usually means a pH of 7.0 or greater.
- Easy to use: Simply draw a small line on the material you wish to test. The line drawn will turn purple on most papers if there is an indication of pH neutrality.
- Please note: This is a pH indicator only. Unreliable results may occur on colored, coated, or unbuffered materials.

While the validity of readings is not verified, the pen provides Consistent readings. The pen tip might turn color after the first use but it should still be Consistent. The pen does not work on fabrics and it might not work on black paper. The mark left by the pen is not permanent and fades over time.
