- Question : How wide is the opening?Answer : The rollers are just over 5 1/2 inches long. The opening at the largest setting (#1) is about 3/32nds (not quite an 1/8 of an inch). At an 8 setting it looks about 1/32nd wide. (I don't have a set of feeler gauges to get an accurate measurement.)
