The Grayl Geopress Purifier is a well-designed product with a three-year lifespan or 250 liters of filtration. It is recommended to carry backup tablets or boiling methods when travelling to 3rd world countries or using for multi-day backpacking. Arctic temperatures might affect the cartilage when wet, but it's safe when dry. It only cleans freshwaters and, unfortunately, cannot filter out mercury. Cleaning the filter is straightforward, and the replaceable cartridge lasts a long time. Although some users reported difficulty pushing the filter, it is easy to transfer water into another container. It works well for international travel and emergencies.
