The seat has the latch system for easy and secure installation. This car seat has not been tested in every vehicle available on the market, but it has been tested in compact, mid-size, full-size, vans and SUVs from different manufacturers. However, one can refer to their vehicle's Owner's Manual for installation information to ensure that it's properly installed in the car. It’s a little lighter than similar car seats and weighs only 19.5lbs, making it comfortable to carry from one car to another.
