    Answer : This machine produces smaller and stronger ice. It is similar to the soft shaved ice from a snowball store, but it is not exactly the same.
  • Question : How close is this machine to Bahama Bucks?
    Answer : The snow produced by this machine is very similar to that of Bahama Bucks, although not exactly the same. It is much better than cheap, chunky snow cones from concession stands.
  • Question : What type of cup best fits inside the area where the snow comes out? I see there are no cups that come with the machine.
    Answer : A cup that is about 3½ inches at the top works well. 16oz Styrofoam cups with a top width of 3½ inches fit perfectly and contain the ice well. Other types of cups may cause the ice to spill.
  • Question : Do you crush the ice like a snowball before adding syrup?
    Answer : You can use regular ice or pile the ice as high as you want in a cup before adding snow cone syrup. The syrup will run down into the ice. You can adjust the amount of syrup according to your taste.

    Answer : No, adding syrup to the machine can damage it. The high sugar content in the syrup can coat the blades, making them dull and slightly bending. The sugar can also cause sticky mess inside the machine.

SNOWIE Little Snowie 2 Shaved Ice Machines Editorial Review

This Snowie Max home ice shaver is a great product to make instant snow-like shaved ice in 30 seconds which is similar to the shaved ice at Bahama Bucks or a snowball store. It can use regular ice and comes with six powder sticks with different flavors. The machine is small and portable, but very loud, so beware of the noise. The snow cones can be made with a 3.5 inches cup which can fit nicely with a Styrofoam cup to avoid ice from escaping. It is not recommended to add syrup to the machine as it may damage it. The Snowie Max home ice shaver is worth its price as it works quickly and can make lots of shaved ice.
