Does anyone know how to remove a few links without taking to the jeweler?

I suggest buying a watch repair kit for around 10-12 dollars. It has everything you need and some extra pins and stuff. If you don't have one you can use a push pin and a small hammer. You'll also need something to brace the watch on it's side. Make sure you look at the arrows on the inside of the watch band. To take the link pins out you have to go against the direction of the arrow. Once you have the required links off the watch band, the pin will go back in the direction the way the arrow is pointing. It's quiet easy once you get the feel of it. Remember to take equal links off on both sides if you need to take more than one out.
