How deep is the section where you put the magazines?

Approximately 3-1/4” deep. I put iPads, Kindles, etc. in it.

Is the wood teak or oak?

Wood is teak. Rack is unfinished so it’s a light color when it arrives. But an application of teak oil turns it into a traditional rich, warm honey color. Rack is well built. Just what I wanted for my boat.

What is the interior size?

3-1/4” x 6”. Hope that helps.
