Yamaha Electronic Pads DD75AD Editorial Review
The Yamaha DD75AD is a semi-hard pad with enough padding to give good bounce. Buyers say the DD75AD is better than Yamaha DD75 because the power adapter isn't sold separately. The drum kit comes with a guide to set up but not a guide on how to play. It's not recommended to play at the beach without amplification, and there is a surface that provides a cymbal sound. However, the pads are not sensitive enough for hand drumming, and some pads don't work, or are very loud, and others too soft. It's a great drum pad for grab-and-go, but the sensitivity and inability to register two simultaneous hits are significant tradeoffs for portability. The lack of good sensitivity means it's unsuitable for beginners, but good enough for the price, and it's a great toy for kids.
