I have hearing in only one ear, directional microphones concern me?

The mic transmits in stereo .. so u hear amplified sound frm both sides.. and i should add that the mic is superb and picks up crushing leaves under ur feet as u walk - thats how sensitive it is !!

Will this fit a 3 year old boy?

No. They have a port to plug in on the bottom. They are great ear protectors. I just got back from the range 1/2 hour ago.

Why do these sound like they are amplifying gun shots?? There is a loud blast like hitting a microphone. Very painful, we tried everything

I have never experienced that with mine. They mute the gun shots and amplify lower sounds like people talking me. Maybe try a different set to see if the set you have is malfunctioning?

Will these hook up to military radios? I.e. can i use them for comms in a humvee/lmtv?

Not that I’m aware of. You may want to contact the manufacturer to see if they offer a headset like that.

Don’t think so. Even though I’ve never tried

Will these work good for hearing a turkey gobble and tell which direction it came from??

You will have difficult time determining the direction of the sound with these.

Will the mics still pick up and transmit outside sound while something is plugged into the audio jack?

The port is designed for a proprietary 2 way radio system. It works with an aux cord for cellphones and music as well. I can’t remember if it still pics up ambient sounds.
