- Question : Can you mix cake batter? Cookie dough? Pie crust dough? Grate cheese? chop onion?Answer : Be careful with using it to mix batter and dough. The motor is only rated at 250 watts. Try the Ninja or the small kitchenaid for specific tasks.

The KitchenAid KFP0718 food processor is a good choice for everyday kitchen needs. It chops small quantities, and is easy to clean. It is great for making salsa or coleslaw but can also be used to help cut crisco/butter into flour for making pie crusts. The slicing thickness is adjustable and can go as thin as 1/4 inch. The food processor has a height of 18 inches and can be stored in three separate pieces. Though it may be a bit loud, it works well to make mayo and slices precisely. However, it may have some trouble fully chopping up ingredients like onions and celery, leaving big hunks remaining.
