Does this version filter viruses? or anything more than the pocket version?Answer : Katadyn ceramic filters have been used for decades all over the world with much success by individuals, military, and missionaries with no problem treating questionable water. The Expedition is an excellent larger capacity and faster flow rate filter. If there are any concerns, individuals may treat water with choline dioxide tablets to kill all microorganisms including viruses.
