Salewa Men's Mountain Trainer 2 Mid Gore-Tex Waterproof GTX Hiking Boot

The Salewa MTN Trainer 2 Mid GTX Men's boots have received mixed reviews from customers. Several customers have praised the boots for their comfort, grip, and support. A few customers have complained that the lacing connections are defective and that the orange string loop that holds the laces in place comes out easily. One customer had to pay an $86.98 restocking fee to return the boots because of the defective lacing connections. Another customer experienced wet socks after hiking in occasional light rain for just two hours, despite the boots being equipped with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort membrane. The Y strapping system also created pressure points when pulled tight. On the positive side, traction was good under a variety of conditions, though steep wet rock was not thoroughly tested. Salewa was responsive in replacing the boots under warranty, but it took about a month to receive the replacement pair. Overall, the boots received three to four stars depending on the customer's experience.
