Pacific Image PowerFilm Plus 35mm Film Scanner. Auto Batch scan Negative/Positive Filmstrips. Up to 10 Film Strips/Maximum 60 Frames in One Batch. 24 MegaPixel/True Color. Mac/Pc

The Pacific Image PowerFilm Plus 35mm Film Scanner promises the convenience of auto batch scanning for both negative and positive filmstrips. However, based on customer feedback, the overall customer experience and reception of this product seems to be quite mixed. Some customers have reported positive experiences with this scanner, particularly when scanning a few strips at a time. The quality of the scans was praised, but the software was highlighted as a potential issue that could cause problems during the scanning process. Customers also confirmed that the scanner is compatible with Macs using M1/M2 chips. On the other hand, numerous customers have expressed frustration and disappointment with the scanner. Film jams, both when loading multiple strips and during the scanning process, were common issues reported. The software seemed to be a major source of frustration, with crashes, unresponsive behavior, and a lack of features such as image preview. The scanner also did not support non-35mm films like 110 and 126 film.

    Pros

    • Auto batch scanning capability
    • Good scan quality
    • Compatibility with Macs using M1/M2 chips

    Cons

    • Film jams when loading multiple strips
