Henning Mutzlitz Antiques & Collectibles Editorial Review

The A. Lange & Sohne Highlights Hardcover book provides a comprehensive history of the brand, showcasing 16 watches from the 1920s to the 1940s and several from the current collection. However, it leaves out many interesting models, such as the Daymatic, and provides minimal information about the watches, lacking technical details and movement images. The book is also poorly designed, with some photos heavily edited and spread across two languages (German and English). Some customers said that the annual Lange & Sohne catalog is more informative and provides better photos. Overall, the book is not worth the price and resembles a typical bargain bin offering.

    Pros

    • Provides a brief history of the brand's watches
    • Includes photos of 16 watches from the 1920s to the 1940s and several from the current collection

    Cons

    • Leaves out many interesting models, such as the Daymatic
    • Minimal information about the watches, lacking technical details and movement images
    • Poorly designed, with some photos heavily edited and spread across two languages (German and English)
    • Considered not worth the price
