The Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis bacteria, found in this product, does not harm fish, mammals, birds, humans, frogs, or other insects, but instead only targets the larvae of the listed pests. The bits kill larvae quickly, while the dunks release slowly and can be active for up to 30 days.
