The gel comes with a plunger and two reusable tips making it easy to apply in small areas where ants are frequently found. The gel attracts ants and then poisons them once they have taken it back to their nest. One significant advantage of Advion over other ant baits is that it is a highly attractive food for many species of ants, making it highly effective. It also does not have a strong odor-like other ant baits. However, the gel may take a week or more to take effect on larger ant species, and one may have to reapply the product every six months or so to ensure continued effectiveness.
