It takes a bit of force to screw the parts together, but once a drill is used, the assembly is smooth. The top drawer is the only one with a locking mechanism. The wood looks rich but feels cheaper than most other build yourself furniture. The parts are not labeled well, making assembly confusing. Furthermore, the instructions are poorly translated and not very helpful. Some reviewers indicated that the cabinet is unsteady and easy to tip over, especially if placed on carpet. The quality of wood is average but works if you are looking for a basic file cabinet. However, there are some issues with the paint and splinters during assembly.
