How do you protect from this?Answer : The brain in our Grass Fed Organ Complex is made from grass-fed and finished calves of New Zealand. There has never been a case of BSE (also known as 'mad cow disease') in New Zealand. New Zealand has protocols in place to ensure that BSE does not occur including active and passive surveillance of the animals. BSE is primarily found in cows that have been fed a diet supplemented with mammalian protein. Our calves, being grass fed and grass finished, are never fed grains or animal byproducts. The brain in our Grass Fed Organ Complex is also sourced from calves well under 3 years of age which is important because BSE only fully develops in older cows around 4 years of age.

- Question : I ordered the 3 bottle pack and the ingredients in all the bottles receive did not have brain on the ingredients. Did I receive an older version?Answer : It's supposed to be heart, liver, kidney.
- Question : What is the mcg amount of Selenium in a dose? I have read that too much Selenium is toxic and labeling does not state amounts.Answer : Our analysis shows that the recommended serving of 4 capsules a day would provide the following; Selenium (mcg) H: 0.915, B: 0.9, L: 11.1, K: 5.91 = 18.825 per day: 2.689. Amount of each per week serving (28 capsules, 4 per day) Liver 1.35 ounces, Brain .45 ounce, Heart .45 ounce.
- Question : Why was brain removed from the supplement?Answer : No idea. Never heard that it had brain. Mine says 'liver, heart, kidney.' And I've had it for awhile.
