    Answer : Very quite actually, was able to render things overnight and not hear anything.

    Answer : Yes, all of the new MacBook Pros have thunderbolt/USB-C ports so it will work. Yes, the drives are swappable. They are standard 3.5" SATA drives.
  • Question : For the 24to version, how many drives are in it? What RAID configuration out of the box?
    Answer : This is a 4-Bay unit, so 4 drives inside regardless of total capacity. Pretty sure that RAID 5 is standard, which provides protection in case of drive failure, but RAID 5 costs you the capacity of 1 drive so you would really be working with 18TB protected. Could be switched to RAID 0 for full capacity, but then no protection at all.
