- Question : How noisy is the 4T version?Answer : It not so noisy that I notice it, but it does make a noise like any external HDD with spinning disks and head read/writes. It is more noisy while spinning up and down; less when it is up and running. If noise is a high concern, you probably should be looking at an SSD.
