Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair Tall Fescue Lawns is a combination of mulch, seed, and fertilizer with a tackifier to reduce seed wash-away. The product covers an area of up to 85 sq. ft. The product received mixed reviews, with some customers reporting successful growth and others experiencing no growth at all. Proper soil preparation, fresh topsoil, and compost mix, along with proper watering and soil contact, were suggested to promote growth. This product may not be suitable for a bluegrass lawn, as tall fescue has different characteristics and growth patterns. The germination percentage of the seed can decline up to 5%-7% every year after the test date. Therefore, it is essential to check the test date before using it. Although the reviews were mixed, the product seemed to work well for some customers.
