- Question : Do these have the adhesive inside as well?Answer : Heat shrink can and does contain heat activated adhesive sealant. It does not affect the connection at all, only seals to prevent water intrusion on marine applications such as wiring a bilge pump. Some heat shrink may contain it.

These connectors have a good locking power on the wire, shrink to the wire, and adhere to it as well. The plastic has a high melting point, so it takes some time for it to be affected by heat. They are perfect for automotive electrical repairs, boat trailer wiring, and other wet applications.
