The Sabian Quiet Tone Classic Crash Cymbal is a versatile drum pad that can be used as a stand alone pad, placed in a snare stand basket, or placed on top of a snare drum head. It provides substantial noise reduction while still maintaining the sound of the snares. The pad has a white coated head that is great for brush playing and provides a feel and rebound similar to an actual snare drum head. It can also be used on toms, although outfitting all the drums with this pad can be expensive. The pad is well-made and provides a realistic feel and response with sticks and brushes. However, some users have experienced issues with the pad sliding if the snare drum is tilted.
