It is suitable for induction cooktops and is made of heavy cast iron. The pan is not designed for use on an outside grill as excessive heat can warp it. The bottom of the pan is flat and has plates with tiny ridges for traction on any surface. It is true non-stick and easy to clean. While it can be used in the oven up to 500 degrees, it is primarily meant for stove top grilling.
