I have used this maching for over 10 years. It is outstanding. Wait for fathers day sale or 20% at bed bath and beyone. If you have any issues there are numerous youtube channels that show how easy it is to maintain this machine. As for Stox's comments below, when this happened to me I removed the screen and brass screen holder and ring and then cleaned each and the area the portafilter twists into and the area the ring fits into. Fine coffee grounds get pressed tight onto the surfaces and keep the portfilter from twisting in place.

Anyone know the actual size of this machine? The specs say 8 x 9.5 x 9.5 in but I'm sure that is not correct. Thanks

I would agree, these dimensions look incorrect. 9.5 inches wide, maybe, but I highly doubt it's only 8 or 9.5 inches tall. 14.2 inches deep makes sense per the video. What is the actual Length, Width, Depth of this machine? Thanks.

As of 2010, all Gaggia espresso and coffee machines are still manufactured in Milan at the Robecco sul Naviglio factory. The 2015 Gaggia Classic was built in Romania instead. The New Gaggia Classic is made in Italy again and uses an aluminum boiler. Gardenia doesn't know what he/she/it is talking about.

Distilled water is harmful to most espresso makers. Filtered water plus BWT pads or BWT filtered water is best option to reduce calcium deposits. Or filtered water and the gaggia descale product as recommended by gaggia.

Gaggia RI9380/46 Classic Evo Pro, Small, Brushed Stainless Steel

The Gaggia RI938046 Classic Pro Espresso Machine is a solid, brushed stainless steel espresso machine that delivers excellent quality espresso with its aluminum boiler. It comes with a single shot pressurized basket for pre-ground and ESE pods. The machine takes a while to heat up, but it gets really hot once it does. Its cup warmer works really well too. There is a learning curve to using this machine, but once it's dialed in, it makes perfect espresso every time. The only downside is that the drip tray is too thin and the steam wand only rotates and doesn't tilt, meaning you have to remove the drip tray to get a proper angle to steam milk right. This also makes purging the wand messy.
