  • Question : What siphon do you use for water changes? The opening into the water chamber is quite small with the 'fill tab' in the way.
    Answer : I just take the whole cover off (leaving the plants in the holder) and dump the water and refill. Then I put the cover with the plants in it back on.
  • Question : Is there a way to turn off the light without turning off the pump? I bought two machines, and four out of the six pods grew mold and died.
    Answer : When you tap the light button the light turns off but the pump should keep running. I had a new pod grow mold too and thought it was a bad pod.
  • Question : How many ounces of water are in the 3 pod AeroGarden?

  • Question : Can you transplant the pods to a garden bed?
    Answer : The transplanted pods will need plenty of care and adequate sunlight to thrive, but do not place them in direct sunlight for the first week. Instead, gradually increase their exposure to light until they become hardier. Once they are healthy and growing, you can transplant the plants and herbs in an outdoor garden.
  • Question : I have been using this AeroGarden for 3 months. Recently the food indicator has been blinking despite putting food. Why?
    Answer : I bought this as a gift for somebody, but I think if you just touch one of the buttons it will stop blinking.
  • Question : I just got a Sprout - specifically for the Sprout, what seed pods can I buy beyond the basil, parsley, and dill that come with the garden?
    Answer : Basically any herbs other than chamomile would work. I wouldn't buy the tomatoes or peppers, though if you plant just one mighty mini tomato plant it might be okay.
  • Question : Can I transplant an existing plant into the AeroGarden?
    Answer : I have done it many times. Basil and parsley did very well, tomatoes not too good.
