The temperature may take about 2 to 3 seconds to settle. The thermometer allows users to set the desired temperature and beep loudly when reached. While it is not recommended to submerge the cord in direct flame, users can insert the probe into the breast of the turkey and prevent the cord from being submerged. The TP16 only features a high alarm and the wire is 40" long with a probe of 6". Many customers praised the product for being easy to use, sticking well to the stove, with high quality materials and lasted a long time with proper use and care. The main complaint is that it doesn't deliver accurate temperature reading or lasting for more than 3-4 years of abuse.
