The Presto 08211 12-cup percolator is a popular choice for those who prefer to have control over the strength of their coffee. This percolator is made of stainless steel, including the basket and interior, with the exception of a small aluminum well in the bottom of the pot which heats water faster. The heating element is not exposed, and the percolator does not have an auto shut-off. The coffee temperature measures around 195°F, and buyers recommend using larger coffee grinds to avoid leftover grinds in the coffee. The basket can be fitted with a 12-cup basket filter for added filtration. The Presto 08211 percolator is considered a good buy despite some reported issues such as rusty prongs and cords.
