The Cecilio 4/4 CEVN-1BK Solid Wood Electric/Silent Violin with Ebony Fittings is a good option for people who are looking for a way to practice the violin quietly. However, it is not completely quiet and produces some sound. It comes with everything needed to start playing the violin, but some customers experienced issues with the strings being out of tune, the bridge's curve making it hard to isolate strings and the bow not being easy to loosen. Nevertheless, the full kit is a good value for under $100. Some buyers experienced damage on arrival or found that it didn't work. While it looks beautiful and stays in tune, some customers found that the instrument was not suitable for performance due to the scratchy sound produced when amplified. Many customers were pleased with the purchase despite some minor kinks.
