It has a preloaded topo-active map of water, streets, landmarks, trails, and tracks that the user can mark waypoints on and navigate through. The device has GPS satellite network access, and it can store tracks and waypoints for future use. The device is easy to use by setting up the device's joystick; however, some reviewers have complained that moving through the menu items with the buttons is not so clear. The manual is said to be deficient, so users have to watch videos from YouTube to better understand the device. Some had issues with updating maps but quickly fixed the problem, and others found the process tedious. The unit looks and has a great feel to it but may be hard to see during the day.
