I broke the nib by dropping the pen, and wonder where can I buy a replacement nib?

No idea unfortunately, but as they are some of the cheaper fude pens, buying another maybe the better option.

When filled with ink I can squeeze cartridge & ink reaches nib; however as soon as I try to write the ink does not flow to nib?

Not had this problem myself. If you are using carbon ink it can dry quickly and block the nib. You should use your pen every day just to keep the ink flowing even if it's just a quick scribble ! You could try soaking the nib in warm water as much as a day , dry it and start again if this doesn't work then the pen maybe faulty . Good luck ! 😃

No standard plastic with cardboard at the back. No box. Mine was totally fine and I love this pen.

This has come with not a word of English instructions, and - though it has two cartridges inside - I cannot seem to get the ink flowing. Any tips?

When I bought my Sailor Fude pens I also bought a fountain one converter for each one, because in my experience cartridges are very difficult to get the ink flowing through them. The converter is wonderful, there is ink in the nib because you have filled it from a bottle of ink and it flows beautifully. I believe the converters were on the same websites the pens, Dai.

No, it's not waterproof. You have to put a waterproof ink in the pen. Do not use Indian ink in the pen, if it dies in the pen you won't be able to use it and have to throw the pen away as you can't clean it of Indian ink but you can with normal waterproof ink.

Is the ink in these cartridges waterproof?

I don't know what ink is in your cartridges. If they are the ones that came with the pen then probably not waterproof as waterproof ink would clog the pen. I use a pen converter with Noodlers ink which although not fully waterproof, it is stable enough when dry to do pen and wash drawings and does not clog the pen. Never use Indian ink as this would ruin the pen.
