The Bathworks Bathtub Refinishing Kit seems to be a mixed bag of positive and negative customer experiences. According to reviews, the kit works well on tiled walls and showers and is easy to use. However, it is recommended to buy an extra roller set as the provided one starts breaking down after a short time. Also, the paint is thick, heavy and sticky which can make painting difficult and fumes may be very strong. It is necessary to ventilate the space or use respirator when doing the painting. It behaves near a slightly aggressive and hard to control watercolor, it's a bit heavy and needs to be worked without much delay to prevent dry marks. The kit is also said to be short in paint amounts and not enough for a bathtub/shower combo, it is recommended to buy two kits to get the optimum result. The drying process takes a few days which can be speeded up using a space heater. The kit needs to be applied with much care to get full and long-lasting adhesion. It may take about 6 months for the first signs of peeling and it is a good idea to do a proper cleaning and scuffing prior to painting to get optimum results.
