The Samson G-Track Pro is a USB studio microphone for voiceover artists, podcasters, and streamers who want high-quality recordings without the need for an audio interface. The retractable stand base has a heavy-duty metal build and rubberized feet that stabilize its placement on flat surfaces. This mic has a lot of the features that make USB mics a must-have. The frequency response allows for a wide range while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and the front of the mic contains some of the more obvious features any domestic pro user would appreciate: a mute button, a headphone jack, and a monitor mix knob. The right and left sides of the mic are actually flanked by two instrument/mic inputs, one on each side. The mic performed well in terms of picking up both vocals and various instruments, with good warmth and clarity. Some issues include the heaviness of the mic, its position on the desk and the knobs on the mic feel a little flimsy. Overall the sound quality is great for a USB microphone, it tends to focus on the low end a little more, but for someone with a deeper voice, it works great without tuning. The Samson G-Track Pro also comes with a 2-year warranty.
