The Hyperkin Megaretron HD Gaming Console for Genesis/Mega Drive is a great upgrade from an aging Console. It plays all Sega Genesis games and Mega Drive games, and even MasterSystem games if using a cart adapter or everdrive. However, if using HDMI, MasterSystem games need to be played in PAL mode to avoid graphical issues. The unit is well worth the modest price, and a great way to engage the grandkids in old games. The device does not have a built-in save feature, but it is compatible with the Mega Everdrive X7 which has this feature enabled. It has a reset button on the front and will play all Sega Genesis games including Electronic Arts games. Some cartridges might not play if they are too old or damaged. The device is HDMI compatible and provides better graphic display. One issue mentioned by a user is that bootleg cards may be too thick for the device, so it is best to use it with original cards. The device is a great upgrade and has fewer cords cluttering things up than the original with different adapters plugged in.
