Does the pallet have protection from water?

The pallet does not appear to be waterproofed. However, one could easily coat it with a water sealer. Some woods withstand water better than others. But honestly, I bought my pallet to use indoors so the wood has not been exposed to any rain or standing water. I do not really know if it is as water durable as I think it is. Hope this helps.

Does it fit a queen mattress if not how many do I need for it to fit a queen mattress?

The pallet is 40x36x5. A queen size mattress is 60" inches wide and 80" long. 4 will do it but you will have 6" excess wood on each side of the bed or 12" excess on one side. If the bed is going lengthwise up against a wall, you could take a piece of wood and lay it over the excess for full length a shelf which you could use for a night light, cup of coffee, books.....The length of 2 pallets is perfect. Hope this helps.

Can I use this indoors? (Has it been treated with anything that would impact indoor air quality?)

I bought mine to use indoors. It does not appear to have been treated with any chemicals and or wood stain. So unless you are allergic to untreated woods I see no reason why it would impact the quality of your indoor air. I do not notice the smell of wood at all.

The Treaton Wooden Pallets are a great option for commercial use due to their sturdy structure. They are available in a wood finish with a dimension of 38x36x5 inches.
