    Answer : The Shark IQ XL is safe to charge on either voltage, but it is important to note that the cleaning base runs on AC and will burn out with a step-down transformer.

    Answer : The Shark IQ XL is intended to pick up dry particles and debris off your floor. It can clean up excess kitty litter that has spilled over in Max mode, but the robot should not be used to clean up soiled litter.
  • Question : My robot seems to not map very well. If I try to choose a specific room to clean, it never does clean that room. Is there any way to fix it?
    Answer : If your robot is not mapping correctly, try allowing it to run through 10-15 clean cycles to map out your home more thoroughly. Additionally, downloading the app can help track the mapping progress.
  • Question : Do you have to use the bot boundary stickers? Or can you just let it run?
    Answer : The Shark IQ XL comes with a flexible vinyl BotBoundary strip approximately 3/4" wide and 8 ft long. You lay it flat on the floor and the Shark will not cross over it. To keep the Shark from going under a bed, multiple strips may be necessary depending on the bed size. While it is possible to let the Shark run without using the boundary strip, it may not accurately clean the intended areas.
  • Question : How do you name the rooms on the map?
    Answer : After several cleaning cycles, you should be able to have an edited map with your house layout. From the app, you can label the rooms.
  • Question : How tall is the base? (height, not width or depth)
    Answer : The Shark IQ XL base is 15.5" tall.
