The KitchenAid Shave Ice Attachment is a great addition to any kitchen for those who love snow cones or shaved ice. It is easy to use and comes with two blades, fine and coarse, and four ice molds. The molds are made of thin plastic but are easy to remove after being frozen. The ice shavings are slightly bigger than desired but still make for a wonderful treat. Replacement molds are now available for purchase from KitchenAid. The only downside is that the ice must be used with the molds provided. Overall, the attachment is recommended and a great alternative to more expensive machines.
