    Answer : 500lbs is about the limit. They are aluminum and will bend with with any force at that weight. Personal experience.

    Answer : This ramp is fairly light and would be acceptable for a bike. I bought it for my lawn tractor and it was too lightweight for it and it broke within a couple weeks.

    Answer : Tail Gate Hight & How This would work is Hard to Determine. My Dodge Dakota 4wd has a Tail Gate Hight of Only 32 Inches & This BOTH Works Great & Just Fits the Length of my Bed.
  • Question : What is the folded dimension of the ramp?
    Answer : Approx 17” W and 6’ long. But we couldn’t use it bc slats are to far apart and the wheels of generator we were unloading got stuck between slats. Company would not return unless we paid $80 for postage and restocking fee. So I wouldn’t recommend ordering from them.
  • Question : Have a harley ultra weight 790lbs, i know the combined weight capacity is 1500lbs but if i drive the motorcycle up the middle will this be an issue?
    Answer : It will bend 100%. Trust me, my Electra bent the center run. I even reinforced it and it still bent. I’m going to run some steel under it, I was looking for a lightweight ramp for $200.00 I now have a heavy $300 ramp!

CARGOSMART Loading Ramps Editorial Review

The CargoSmart Aluminum Straight Fixed Ramp is a lightweight solution for loading ATV's, motorcycles and lawn mowers into trailers or trucks. The gap between the treads is 3.5 inches and it weighs 30 pounds. It has red tabs at the top of the ramp that rest against the top inside "face" of the open tailgate which allows the top edge of the ramp to be flush against the top edge of the tailgate. The ramp can be secured by adjustable straps that connect the ramp to the bumper to keep it from slipping off of the tailgate. Overall, there are mixed reviews for this product, with some customers experiencing the treads bending and the welds breaking after only a short amount of use. Some reviewers have noted that the ramp is not suitable for loads over 500 pounds and are disappointed that it did not perform as promised. However, other customers have had a good experience with this ramp and it has worked well for them.
