- Question : Can I control temperature and humidity with this product?Answer : No, for temperature and humidity controls, you should check T-Series.
- Question : What accessories are included?Answer : Corded AC power plug, installation manual, and all necessary mounting hardware.
- Question : What kind of motor does it have?Answer : It has an EC-powered motor for a quiet and energy-efficient performance.
- Question : Why does the fan turn off constantly even as the light remains on? Can it be defective?Answer : Might be defective or you have it on the wrong settings. Try unplugging it and if it continues to do the same, then it might be defective.
- Question : Can this fan be used as an inline blower for ventilating a blowerless kitchen range hood? Is it rated for exhausting steam and grease?Answer : It is not rated for grease, but it will work to vent steam even though it is not rated for this. The fan can be used to improve air circulation in a cigar room, but it might be noisy.
- Question : What happens if the power goes out? Does the fan kick back on to the same speed settings? How long would it hold these settings with power out?Answer : If power is removed, the fan will restart at the same speed as operating before being powered off. As far as how long it will retain speed setting, we are not sure, but at least three weeks.
- Question : Is this 8-inch fan adequate for a 4x8 grow tent?Answer : Mine is currently on a 10 x 5, and it’s actually quite powerful. The 8” is quite a bit noisier than the 6” inline fan. I have the controller on the 6” to control fan speed and monitor humidity. I would highly recommend getting the controller with either fan you choose. Do not have a controller for 8” so would probably not have the suction issue if I could adjust the fan speed.
- Question : Is the fan housing insulated to minimize condensation and heat transfer from outside air to inside air?Answer : No, You can wrap in insulation if you like. I have mine wrapped in 4" of insulation and it works just fine for over a year now.
- Question : Can it be used in the kitchen as a smoke exhaust fan if there is a filter against grease before it?Answer : With proper ductwork and a way to filter grease before the fan, it might work. It moves a lot of air and is quite. I use it to supplement a long run for heating and air conditioning.
- Question : How do I loop this with the AC unit? I want the fan to start working when the AC unit starts. Can I do it with the AC Infinity Controller?Answer : No, you cannot do it with the AC Infinity Controller. You can control the fan by attaching a 28VAC relay in line with the AC control line.
