The switch is latching, which means that it stays on once it has been turned on until it is turned off again. The rectangular plastic body of the switch is 18mm x 12mm x 6.3mm, with a washer and a cylindrical shaft extending from it that are 9mm and 5.5mm in diameter respectively. The total height of the switch including the body and shaft is either 10mm or 9.5mm depending on its on/off position. Customers report that the switch is of good quality and works well, but is fragile and can be fidgety at times. Some customers have experienced the power flipping on and off when the button is only half pressed. However, the switch has been successfully used as a replacement part in various flashlights and lamps, saving customers the cost of having to replace the entire device.
