    Answer : No, it is not dishwasher safe! I am looking for a replacement one for my daughter because the rubber/silicone seal inside the lid melted in the dishwasher.

    Answer : Hi there. I wouldn’t think so as this fit my 18 & 24oz Takeya bottles. This lid measures 2.75”. The round mouth (no lid) of my water bottle is 2.25”nI hope this help
  • Question : Does the top drinking spout lock onto the lid? Is it a screw-on mechanism or by flipping up/down? Is it secure enough to be inside a backpack?
    Answer : The screw-on mechanism is clever: the threads are on the INSIDE of the spout and the cap has a little matching protrusion inside it with threads on the outside. Benefit is that the part of the spout your mouth contacts is smooth, but the spout cap seals up positively. Silicone ring up inside the cap forms what I have experienced to be a leak-proof seal. This cap is well thought-out and nicely executed.

    Answer : Yes. I got it for my 40oz water bott

    Answer : I have 40oz water bottle. The cap fits there. theoretically the caps fit every type.

    Answer : No the carrying handle cannot be removed but it does tuck down nicely if you don't want to use it. The handle is very sturdy and durable. I use this cap on my hydro flask 32 oz wide mouth bottle and I absolutely love it!!
  • Question : I have a fifty/fifty 40 oz wide mouth bottle, would this fit it and not have leaks? Thanks
    Answer : I have a 64 oz, 32 oz and a 16 oz hydroflask wide mouth and the cap fits well, without leaks on all of those bottles. i don't know if the fifty/fifty wide mouth is the same deminations as the hydroflask bottles. You can always try it and if it doesn't fit, return it or buy a hydroflask! I love the lid!

Takeya 97126 Sports Water Bottle Accessories Editorial Review

This Takeya lid has a clever screw-on mechanism with threads on the inside of the spout that seal up positively, forming a leak-proof seal. The silicone ring inside the cap is durable, and the lid fits a variety of wide mouth bottles. Although the item description claims it works for "all widemouth water bottles", it does not work on Tal water bottles. The handling is sturdy but non-removable, and it tucks down nicely when not in use.

Cons

  • Not compatible with Tal water bottles.
