It will absorb whatever is inside that blemish like a sponge, turning white where all the gunk attached to the patch. Change it when this happens and continue to do so until blemish is gone. It works best on acne that has been popped or "opened" in some way. It sucks out bacteria and oil and clears the pimple much faster than it would on its own. Sometimes it helps the pimple disappear overnight. It helps reduce inflammation and bring pus to the surface on deep cystic acne and on regular acne with a head. It is good for all skin types, but it will not work on deep, closed comedones. The patches are great for doing what they say they will. They stick really well and seem to pull out the pimple. They are perfect for overnight and they are not irritating. They clear pores with no skin damage. The patches are not effective on all types of acne.
