- Question : Will this work on a Z50?Answer : Yes. It will fit right on the Z50 and give the cropped equivalent of a 42mm lens on a full-format camera. This lens does NOT have image stabilization built in as do the Z50 DX kit lenses, so you won't have that feature. (On the full-frame Z mirrorless cameras, image stabilization is built into the camera itself.)
- Question : Im still confuse, if i have a z6 is this lens a true 28mm?Answer : Yes. It is always a 28mm focal length. On a Z6 it yields a full frame field of view and it is designed for use on full frame z camera bodies. On a 1.5x crop sensor body (Z50), it yields a field of view that is equivalent to what you would see with a 42mm focal length on a full frame sensor body.
- Question : Will the lack of image stabilization on the nikon z50 make this an impractical lens to have? total amateur here btw/no tripod most of the timeAnswer : Image stabilization helps in avoiding motion blur when taking pictures hand held. It allows you to use slightly slower shutter speeds. In days of old, before in-camera stabilization, not all lenses had stabilization. The trick to controlling motion blur caused by handheld camera movement was to use a faster shutter speed. With these steps, the lack of stabilization in this lens is not a problem. Just use faster shutter speeds than you are used to.
