I used this product after a weekly water change two weeks ago and my tank is perfectly clear and pH is still perfect. It is well worth the price and only takes a very small amount per gallon of tank size. I highly recommend it.

So if I use this will I still need to vacuum the gravel?

This product cannot replace having to do water changes and physical gravel cleaning. However, it will extend the time in between the gravel cleaning. In addition, it will keep the water healthy. It degrades excess fish foods, fish wastes and problem-causing nutrients. By reducing these toxic wastes, it not only keeps the water healthier, but also keeps it looking clearer! It also reduces the stress on the fish because it doesn't stress them while it's working (like physical cleanings and chemicals do).

is this safe for snails

Our snail became sick and died right after we started using this.

Can I add this to my tank with live plants ?

The lignin in wood makes it really hard to break down naturally. Our formula produces the ligninase enzyme which helps to break down wood. But, it's still a very slow process. Just like wood breaking down outside. It eventually does, but takes years and years.This product would help break down wood faster, but it would still take a long time!

You state that it degrades waste. What does it degrade the waste into? The waste has to turn into something else.

The byproducts are carbon dioxide and water basically.

My bottle is over a year old. I don't see an expiration date. Should I toss it?
