Yes! Depending on what you need it for, this is a great product. I had some shoulder pain and it worked great!

Why doesn't it numb like it's supposed to?

Directions: Apply a thin layer to affected area every 6 to 8 hours, not to exceed 3 applications in a 24-hour period. Children 12 years or younger: ask a doctor.

Can this be used before IPL treatment?

Personally, I would not recommend this for IPL treatment. Try using NUMB520 10-15 minutes before the treatment. I used this before going in for a tattoo and it works wonders. Hardly felt anything. Good luck!

How long does it take to get to the numbing peak?

I used this for a rash due to gout. It works in a couple of minutes for topical use, but if the pain is deeper, it will not really penetrate. At this strength, I would not say it has a numbing effect, just a slight pain relief, like sunburn gel.
