Child muddled up the tutorial cards before we read the instructions. Does anyone know the order they are meant to be in for the tutorial?

There's a number on the card - it says where exactly it is on the card in the instruction booklet - so that you can reorder them even after you get used to playing in case the kids have a friend over who hasn't played who they want to teach :)

Are these cards legit?

Yes. Came with the code card for the online TCG too, so definitely legit.

Is this a good way to learn how to play the game? My five-year-old wants to start collecting pokemon cards.

Yes my 7 year old and 5 year can now play the game. I had no idea how it worked But the step by step first game is great that’s in the book, just mix them up when you first open the box to look at the cards.

It is an introduction version of the Pokemon trading card game that comes with 3 decks of 60 cards each and excellent directions that walk you through your first gameplay by gameplay. The box set gives step-by-step instructions that make it super easy to learn the rules, making the first few rounds super simple to play. Once you learn the rules, you can easily add in whatever deck you have created on your own. It may only be a two-player game, but you can add a third person to help handle the shuffling and damage coins. This product is perfect for children aged 6 years and above, and it comes with a reference book that helps you look up more complex stuff. The game board is well-designed, and the sets are easy to set up and learn, making this box set a great value for $15. Overall, this product is an excellent game to learn how to play the Pokemon trading card game and a great addition to any Pokemon fan's collection.
