    Answer : No, it can easily scan both sides of a document at the same time.

    Answer : The imageFORMULA R10 is great for scanning documents and photos printed on document paper. If your photos are printed on glossy photo paper, please keep in mind that they will contact the rollers as they feed through the scanner. Also, the image quality setting caps off at 600 DPI and the maximum paper thickness recommended is 225 gsm. If you need a higher quality setting or if the photo is printed on paper thicker than 225 gsm, you will be better off using a flatbed scanner like the CanoScan LiDE 400 or the CanoScan 9000F Mark II. If you want to use the R10 to scan photos as separate files, please make sure that you are scanning them as JPG images.   • Question : Can I scan multiple items at once and then group specific pages to save as one item?
    Answer : The imageFORMULA R10 uses CaptureOntocuh Lite and would only be able to save a multiple page scan as either 1 pdf or 1 file for each scanned page. You would not be able to select specific pages to save as one item.
  • Question : Do I need a laptop to scan documents?
    Answer : You would need a Windows or Mac laptop or desktop to scan with the imageFORMULA R10.
  • Question : Can i use a powered usb hub with canon imageformula r10 portable document scanner?
    Answer : While the imageFORMULA R10 can be connected to a usb hub, Canon recommends connecting the scanner directly to a computer if possible.
  • Question : If scanning multiple pages at one time, does it create one pdf or can I create multiple single-page pdfs?
    Answer : When scanned imaged are saved in BMP, PNG or JPEG format, each page is saved as separate files. When scanned images are saved in PDF or TIFF format, you can specify multi or single page files.
  • Question : Will this work on a chromebook?
    Answer : The imageFORMULA R10 is not supported on Chromebooks. It is compatible with Windows and Mac computers.

    Answer : You are correct, the imageFORMULA R10 will scan directly to your laptop.
