Answer : These are made of the thick Carhartt material, but they are not at all insulated. They would also get wet if the child sits or kneels in the snow. They are not like snow pants that will keep your legs dry and warm. I live in Upper MIchigan and I use these for outdoor play in the fall and spring.

Answer : These are not insulated. We live in California and they rake a beating. I accidentally ordered insulated ones that were awesome but wouldn’t be needed around here. Those come in black only. Those have a quilted insulation with would keep your kid warm in the snow.

Answer : I love this overall. My boy is 30m now, he is standard. We bought 2T about 3 month ago. Now it is too small, especially after washing. And I am going to buy 3T.

Answer : No. funny they would choose a less than perfect sample piece to use. The label is strait.
