This product is a laser beam sensor used for proximity detection. The device comes with an attached wiring diagram on the switch connection wire. The device can communicate its signal when the beam is broken through a 3rd wire. The switching time is about 2-3 microseconds, but the minimum "break" time it responds to reliably seems to be at about 10 milliseconds with a 10K load resistor. It has a 0-20m sensing distance and works with 6-36V DC. The device can be directly connected to a relay board and comes with brackets for easy installation and adjustment. A reviewer of the product mentioned that the sensor can prevent closing their garage door on their vehicle. It has a spot size of about 1”-1.5” at 16’. The sensor is highly directional because it's a laser, and its alignment is not easy. The device is both indoor/outdoor capable and not easy to spoof. The set-up is easy to figure out from the attached tags on the leads.
